Antonio Toney, 42, of Columbia, South Carolina, sadly passed away on Tuesday following a deputy-involved shooting on Ovanta Road in Richland County.
Antonio was a lifelong resident of Columbia and will be remembered by those who knew him for his presence, his spirit, and the impact he had on his family and community. His sudden passing has left loved ones mourning deeply.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office, led by Coroner Naida Rutherford, confirmed Antonio’s passing and noted that the investigation into the circumstances of the incident remains ongoing in cooperation with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
