The Fayette City community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Ashley Eley, who tragically passed away following an accident.
Ashley was a dedicated and courageous member of the Fayette City Volunteer Fire Department, where she proudly served as 2nd Lieutenant. Known for her selflessness, leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping others, Ashley embodied the true spirit of public service.
She was also the beloved daughter of the department’s Fire Chief, making her passing especially difficult for her family and fellow firefighters, who viewed her not only as a colleague but as family.
Ashley’s kindness, compassion, and courage left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. Her legacy of service and strength will continue to inspire those who had the honor of working beside her.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the Eley family, the Fayette City VFD, and the entire community during this time of profound grief.
May Ashley rest in eternal peace.
