In Loving Memory of Chance Houlton
It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Chance Houlton, a kind-hearted and dedicated member of the Houlton, Maine community. He tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident earlier this week.
A Legacy of Warmth, Kindness, and Dedication
Chance was much more than a name in the community he was a beloved son, brother, friend, and teammate at Anthony’s Food Shop. From the moment he helped open the café in 2014, Chance became its soul, infusing each day with intelligence, humor, and an unwavering work ethic.
His easygoing nature and generous spirit resonated deeply with colleagues and patrons alike. Chance had an innate talent for making everyone feel seen and valued. As business owners put it, he “helped shape the heart of our café culture,” leaving an indelible mark on both heart and workplace.
A Life Defined by Service and Camaraderie
Chance’s contributions extended beyond his professional commitments. He was consistently there for others offering help, lifting spirits, and creating an atmosphere of warmth and positivity. His presence radiated kindness and reliability, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.
Tragically, his life was cut short at the age of 36, leaving a void that reverberates throughout the community and among his many friends and loved ones.
A Community in Mourning
The passing of Chance Houlton casts a somber shadow over Houlton and beyond. His absence is deeply felt both in the café where he so seamlessly blended laughter with dedication, and in the hearts of those whose lives he enriched.
We extend deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the Anthony’s Food Shop community. May they find comfort in the legacy of integrity, friendship, and kindness he leaves behind.
May his memory inspire continued love, generosity, and camaraderie within the community he so greatly impacted.
