Independence, KY Murder-suicide – Authorities have confirmed that a second victim has died following the tragic murder-suicide incident that unfolded late Sunday night along Regal Drive near the Taylor Ridge Apartments.
Police say they responded to reports of a shooting at **11:21 p.m.** and found a man outside the apartments suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition but sadly died the next day from his injuries, according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. The victim has been identified as **33-year-old Daylon Bradford**. His cause of death has been listed as homicide.
In the hours following the initial shooting, police say a suspect and a woman fled to the nearby woods. A perimeter was established, and K-9 units and drones were deployed. Between **1:20 and 1:30 a.m. Monday**, shots were heard in the area, prompting SWAT to respond.
At approximately **3:00 a.m.**, police say drones located two individuals in the woods who were later found dead. They have been identified as **34-year-old Donald Bryant**, the suspected gunman, and **24-year-old Heavan Glison**.
The relationship between Bradford, Bryant, and Glison has not been disclosed by police.
Police say through their investigation, the shooting has been determined to be a murder-suicide.
Daylon Bradford’s passing has left family, friends, and the Independence community in mourning as they grieve the sudden loss of a life taken too soon.
