The Incident
On a warm Saturday afternoon during what was meant to be a joyful Independence Day weekend getaway witnesses observed Ivan struggling in the waters of Delavan Lake near the View crest area. Emergency personnel, including the Walworth County Sheriff’s dive team and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, conducted a thorough and heartfelt search using both dive teams and sonar equipment. Their efforts led to Ivan’s recovery, but sadly, he was declared deceased upon discovery.
A Life Remembered
Born and raised in Houston, Ivan was renowned for his warm heart, humor, and adventurous spirit . He worked in logistics, where colleagues admired his dedication and positivity. In every facet of life whether on the job, in travel, or spending moments with dear ones. Ivan radiated kindness and generosity.
Friends recall his love for the outdoors and his affinity for water, adding an unbearably poignant note to the nature of his passing .
