Ryan Heit Joliet IL murder-suicide – It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic passing of Ryan Heit, 40, and his wife, Jennifer Heit, 40, of Joliet, Illinois. The couple lost their lives early Monday morning in what police have described as murder-suicide
Officers with the Joliet Police Department res.ponded to the 1800 block of Burshire Court shortly before 6 a.m. and discovered Ryan outside the residence with a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound. Inside the home, Jennifer was found deceased from gunshot injuries.
They said the man killed his wife, exited the home, and then shot and killed himself with the same handgun.
The couple leaves behind four children, ranging in ages from 3 to 16, who were unharmed and have since been placed in the care of family members.
Ryan and Jennifer will be remembered by loved ones and their community, whose lives have been forever changed by this heartbreaking loss. Funeral arrangements and memorial details will be shared by the family at a later date.
