Daphne, AL — Authorities in Baldwin County are investigating a heartbreaking tragedy that claimed the lives of a family of four early Thursday morning in Daphne.
According to Sheriff Anthony Lowery, deputies responded at approximately 3:20 a.m. to a residence on Sable Court, located in a subdivision off Milton Jones Road and State Route 181. Upon entering the home, officers discovered the bodies of four family members, all deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Sheriff Lowery identified the shooter as 44-year-old **Kenneth O’Neil Smith Jr.** The victims were named as **Larrica Gaines Smith, 41**, and the couple’s two children, **Khristian Smith, 15**, and **Kinsley Smith, 11**. Authorities confirmed a handgun was recovered at the scene.
The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has described the event as an isolated domestic-related incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
