A Creative Force Behind the Scenes
Loren was the respected Head of Content at HGTV, where he spearheaded flagship projects including HGTV Dream Home, White House Christmas, My Lottery Dream Home, and A Very Brady Renovation . In 2021, he debuted in front of the camera as co-host of HGTV House Party alongside Brian Balthazar, charming audiences with his warmth and wit .
A Connector and Mentor
Industry leaders remember Loren as “the glue that bound teams, departments, and friendships.” Channing Dungey, Warner Bros. Television Group chair, praised him for “unwavering dedication, endless kindness, and unshakeable integrity” a connector who made everyone feel inspired .
Off‑Camera: Advocate, Partner, Friend
Loren joined HGTV in 2008 and previously contributed to KTTV’s Good Day L.A. and Good Day Live. Beyond television, he served LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations such as Live Out Loud, where supporters described him as an “extraordinary soul” whose passion and commitment will never be forgotten .He is survived by his husband of 21 years, David Salas, his parents, and a brother .
