Lucy Sytsma Carlisle Iowa Obituary – The Carlisle community is heartbroken following the tragic loss of Lucy Sytsma, a beloved senior at Carlisle High School, who passed away Monday evening in an accident.
Lucy was known for her bright spirit, kindness, and the positive energy she brought to everyone around her. As a student and friend, she touched countless lives with her warmth, compassion, and enthusiasm for life. Her teachers and classmates remember her as someone who always had a smile to share and a willingness to help others.
In the wake of her passing, Carlisle Community School District has extended its condolences to Lucy’s family and friends. “Our thoughts and sympathies are with Lucy’s family and friends,” Superintendent Erik Anderson wrote in a message to families.
Grief counselors have been made available at the high school to support students and staff through this difficult time. Out of respect and remembrance, school events, including volleyball games and a concert scheduled for Tuesday, have been postponed.
