It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, a dynamic entrepreneur, devoted daughter, and inspiring woman whose life was marked by courage, creativity, and ambition. Martha passed away at the age of 33, after being found unconscious on a docked yacht at the exclusive Montauk Yacht Club in the early hours of Tuesday morning, August 5, 2025.
Originally from Carlow, Ireland, Martha moved to New York City at age 24, chasing the American dream with determination and grace. Her journey was one of vision and perseverance and she left a mark on every community she touched.
She was the brilliant founder behind fashion brand East x East, as well as Duper, a successful Amazon-label clothing line. Beyond fashion, Martha also served as Director of Operations at K4 Capital, a New York-based investment firm where she brought the same energy, organization, and strategic insight that made her entrepreneurial ventures flourish.
Martha was known not only for her business acumen, but for her warmth, elegance, and vibrant spirit. She had a natural gift for connecting with others effortlessly blending Irish charm with New York ambition. Her energy lit up every room she entered, and her mentorship and generosity left a lasting impression on countless lives.
She is survived by her loving family in Ireland and a close-knit circle of friends and colleagues in New York who are devastated by her loss. Martha’s passing has sent ripples of heartbreak across two continents, as both Carlow and New York mourn the loss of one of their brightest lights.
Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra was more than an entrepreneur , she was a force of nature. Fierce, graceful, and deeply loved. Her legacy will live on through the brands she built, the lives she inspired, and the hearts she touched.
