In Loving Memory: Nevin Vince
It is with profound sadness that the community mourns the passing of Nevin Vince, a talented young athlete and beloved member of the Greenon High School family. Nevin’s life was tragically cut short in an accident that also claimed the life of Natalie Daly, leaving friends, family, and classmates in deep grief and reflection.
Nevin stood out not only for his athletic ability, but for his character. As a dedicated soccer player at Greenon High School, he earned respect and admiration from his teammates and coaches for his sportsmanship, leadership, and unwavering commitment both on and off the pitch. His vibrant spirit, kindness, and genuine nature endeared him to those who knew him, and his presence was a source of encouragement to many.
Beyond his contributions as an athlete, Nevin was known for his warmth, generosity, and the capacity to uplift others in everyday moments. He had a way of making a positive impact, whether through a word of encouragement or simply by being present. These small gestures, though perhaps unnoticed by some, spoke volumes about his character and the mark he left on his community.
In honor of Nevin and Natalie, the Greenon community will gather for a candlelight vigil at Greenon Stadium on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. It will be a moment for reflection, remembrance, and shared grief as friends, family, and neighbors come together to celebrate their lives and legacy.
Though Nevin is gone, his memory will continue in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the compassion he showed. To his family, friends, and teammates: may you find comfort in each other, strength in your memories, and peace in knowing that Nevin’s life, though brief, was full of meaning and positive influence.
Rest in peace, Nevin Vince. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
