It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Noah Snyder, a beloved son, student, teammate, and friend, who tragically lost his life in a car accident near Marquette University on the evening of Friday, September 5, 2025. He was 20 years old.
The accident occurred around 5 p.m. near 27th Street and St. Paul Avenue in Milwaukee. According to police, Noah was one of six people in a vehicle that was struck by another car. He and one other Marquette student were killed in the crash. Four others in the vehicle were injured and are currently receiving medical care. The driver of the second vehicle, a 41-year-old individual, has been arrested. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
Noah was a student at Marquette University and a proud member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team, where his dedication, skill, and leadership left an indelible mark on his teammates and coaches. Before joining Marquette, Noah played boys lacrosse at Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, under head coach Desiderio Gonzalez, and also competed for St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute**, where he was coached by Pete Hudecki.
A native of Pennsylvania, Noah was known for his unwavering commitment to excellence, both on and off the field. His drive, humility, and kind-hearted nature earned him the admiration of all who knew him. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or in his community, Noah brought light, humor, and compassion to every space he entered.
Marquette University issued a statement expressing condolences to the families and recognizing the deep impact of this tragedy on the university community. A memorial mass in Noah’s honor will be held on Saturday, September 6 at 1 p.m. in the Varsity Theatre** on campus. The Lunda Room and Henke Lounge** in the Alumni Memorial Union will also be open from **noon to 3 p.m.** for students, faculty, and friends to gather and support one another.
Noah’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his spirit, tenacity, and heart. He is survived by his family, friends, teammates, and the larger lacrosse and Marquette communities who mourn his untimely loss.
