It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Petes K. Laurent-Baptisma, who tragically died at the age of 24 after being fatally stabbed during an altercation in the Weinland Park area of Columbus, Ohio. He was taken to the hospital in the early hours of August 22 and, despite medical efforts, passed away two days later. His death was later ruled a homicide by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
Born with a bright spirit and a heart full of ambition, Petes touched the lives of those around him with his energy, warmth, and determination. Friends and loved ones will remember him for his loyalty, his humor, and his ability to bring people together.
Though his life ended far too soon, Petes’ memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. His passing is a painful reminder of the fragility of life, and those who knew him will cherish the moments they shared with him.
He is survived by family members, friends, and all those who loved him dearly.
