With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Redaja, affectionately known as “Juicy”, who was taken from this world far too soon at the age of 23. She was fatally shot on the morning of August 14, 2025, in the Chickasaw neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, while doing what so many mothers do with love and care—walking her daughter to the bus stop.
Redaja’s life was full of promise, joy, and fierce devotion to her child. She was a vibrant young woman who carried herself with confidence and heart, known to those around her for her unforgettable smile, her loyalty to family, and her love of music, laughter, and community. As “Juicy,” she was a light — radiant, full of personality, and deeply loved by those who truly knew her.
Her sudden and violent passing has left her family, friends, and community devastated. The tragic circumstances of her death have only deepened the heartbreak, as police continue to search for the suspect responsible.
Redaja is survived by her young daughter, who now faces a future without the loving mother who walked beside her each day. She is also mourned by her family, friends, and all who held her dear.
A service to celebrate and honor Redaja’s life will be announced in the coming days. Her family asks for privacy as they grieve and prepare to lay her to rest.
