ONTARIO, Calif. — The community is mourning the tragic loss of 17-year-old Rhiana Kemplin, who was senselessly murdered in her home while she slept in the early morning hours of November 8th.
Family members describe Rhiana — affectionately known as Rhi Rhi, Lil Mama, and Nanaa — as a beautiful soul inside and out, with an extraordinary gift for music and makeup. Smart beyond her years, she was known for her loyalty, quick wit, and protective nature toward those she loved.
“Tiny as she was, her spirit tripled that,” her family shared. “She had the biggest heart and the most infectious laugh. Everyone who knew her loved her.”
Rhiana was a student with big dreams — she looked forward to graduating high school, pursuing cosmetology, continuing her education at Arizona State University, and joining the ASU band.
Her death has left family, friends, and her community heartbroken. A fundraiser has been organized to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, allowing the family to give Rhiana the respectful farewell she deserves.
Authorities continue to investigate the tragic circumstances surrounding her death.
