Remembering Tucker Faul: Beloved Student-Athlete Lost Too Soon
It is with heavy hearts that the communities of Maddock, New Rockford, Leeds, and Harvey, North Dakota, mourn the passing of Tucker Faul. Tucker, a dedicated student and athlete at New Rockford-Sheyenne High School, tragically died earlier this week in a fatal accident.
Tucker was more than just a promising athlete , he was a vibrant, caring presence among his peers and in his community. Known for his leadership, kindness, and a genuine spirit, he earned respect both on and off the field. Teammates recall him as someone who lifted others, quietly encouraged, and played hard but fairly.

The accident that claimed his life was reported on Sunday, October 19, in Benson County, involving a collision with a semi-truck on ND Highway 19, northeast of Maddock. Tucker was airlifted to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities say road conditions were clear and that investigators are still processing the scene.
As the community reeling from this loss comes to terms with grief, schools have mobilized support services. Counselors are available for students, and memorial gatherings are being organized to honor Tucker’s life.
