Around 11:30 a.m. Monday morning, emergency crews rushed to the Worcester County Court after several 911 calls reported a distressing situation inside the courthouse. Worcester Police, Fire Department personnel, and UMass Worcester EMS all responded to the scene within minutes.
According to initial reports, the person jumped from the third floor of the courthouse . Despite swift efforts by first responders to render aid, the individual was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities quickly secured the area as investigators began working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Court operations were temporarily disrupted as law enforcement officials and emergency medical personnel conducted their investigation.
